.EDVIN MINASSIAN, ESQ. HONORED WITH PONTIFICAL ENCYCLICAL AND ST. NERSES SHNORHALI MEDAL

Edvin Minassian, Esq., Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Organization of Istanbul Armenians and former Chairman of the Armenian Bar Association was honored on Sunday, August 28, 2016 during the celebration of the Divine Liturgy at St. Leon Armenian Cathedral in Burbank. The Pontifical Encyclical of His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians commending the significant accomplishments of the honoree was read during the service by the celebrant priest the Rev. Fr. Khajag Shahbazyan as the honoree stood humbly before the bema.

The Diocesan Primate Archbishop Hovnan Derderian reflected on Mr. Minassian’s vast contributions in the life of the Armenian-American community of Greater Los Angeles. He noted the honoree’s selfless dedication in serving the community and his enduring affection for the Armenian Apostolic Church.A reception in honor of Edvin Minassian, Esq., the recipient of the prestigious medal was held in the Hampar Family Room of the Western Diocese following the service.
