Harmony Chamber Orchestra

The Tekeyan Cultural Association, Los Angeles Chapter and the Armenian General Benevolent Union, San Fernando Valley Chapter are proud to present Harmony Chamber Orchestra – a highly skilled group of musicians directed and conducted by Talynn Kuyumjian.
Talynn Kuyumjian received her Bachelor’s Degree in Piano Performance from Loyola Marymount University, and will receive her Master Degree in Orchestral Conducting at the end of this year. She was asked to form an orchestra of her own by the TCA and AGBU organizations so she could not only showcase her skills as a music director, but to bring the enrichment of classical music to the Armenian communities in Los Angeles. The seventeen musicians she has chosen are all highly skilled, have advanced degrees, and have performed with professional orchestras. Talynn hopes to continue working with these musicians in the future, with a goal of turning the orchestra in to a highly-esteemed full symphonic ensemble.
The performance on the 4th of December will feature works from composers Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Alan Hovhaness, Edward Elgar, Komitas, and Astor Piazzolla. In addition, the performance will feature four soloists – cellist Oshagan Merjanian, violinists Kristapor Najarian and Boryana Popova, and pianist Leon Thomasian.
