Almost, Maine is a play by John Cariani

About: Almost, Maine

Almost, Maine is a play by John Cariani, comprising of nine

short plays that explore love and loss in a remote, mythical

almost-town called Almost, Maine. Most plays tell one long

continuous story, however, Almost, Maine is unique as it

shows us vignettes of connected stories all occurring at the

same time: 9:00pm on a Friday night during the dazzling

Aurora Lights. Most of the characters do not appear more

than once during the play, yet the clever vignettes all tie in

Bianca Akbiyik (Ginette): This is Bianca’s third show at VNHS. She

was first in “As You Like It” last year and in the Student Directeds. She is

very excited to be playing Ginette in this wonderful romantic comedy.
