Community Invitation

The Organization of Istanbul Armenians cordially invites

community members,

journalists, and all interested guests to attend the event

marking the 30th anniversary of

the founding of Istanbul’s “Agos” weekly newspaper, which

will take place at the OIA

Center on Sunday, August 2, 2026, at 6:00 PM.

The bilingual weekly newspaper “Agos,” which for decades

has been the authentic voice of

the Armenian community and the standard-bearer of

independent journalism, has served

diligently for three decades as a strong wall of truth,

cultural preservation, and free

expression, creating a unique platform within Armenian life.

The bilingual weekly “Agos”

has succeeded in acting as a bridge between the Diaspora,

the Homeland, and local

communities by addressing critical public, political, cultural,

and national issues.

In addition to the presentations in Armenian, the program

will include one presentation in

English.

We will be pleased to listen to the perspectives of our

lecturers.

Your attendance will be a meaningful expression of support

for the continued role of Agos

in our community.
